Garrett Lambert & The Countymen
Garrett Lambert and the Countymen is a Simcoe County–based country/rock band forged from experience, musicianship, and a deep-rooted love of live performance. The group brings together five seasoned musicians, ranging in age from their 30s to their 70s, blending decades of shared stage time into a sound that feels confident, lived-in, and unmistakably authentic.
Living up to their name, the Countymen hail from different counties across the Simcoe County region, united by a passion for country/rock music in all its forms—classic, outlaw, honky-tonk, and roots-driven modern country. Every performance is built to showcase the individual strengths of each member while locking together as a tight, road-tested unit.
Front and center is Garrett Lambert, a magnetic front man and storyteller whose commandingpresence and powerful vocals set the tone from the first note. With an impressive vocal range and an instinct for emotional delivery, Garrett moves effortlessly from raw, gritty outlaw anthems to
heartfelt ballads and high-energy rock crowd favorites. His voice carries both strength and soul, and his natural connection with audiences turns every show into a shared experience.
Behind him, the Countymen deliver a rich, full-bodied country sound powered by a versatile and dynamic lineup. Rups Yu lays down a steady, driving foundation on bass guitar, while Dillon James brings precision, feel, and energy on drums and percussion. David Toms adds warmth and
texture on piano, and Alvin Light colors the music with lead guitar, harmonica, lap steel, mandolin, and more—creating the signature tones that give the band its depth and character. Known for their tight chemistry and engaging live shows, Garrett Lambert and the Countymen honor the tradition of country/rock music while keeping it fresh, honest, and alive—built for the stage, the dance floor, and the long road between both.
